Terms and Conditions

Your contract is with Quotidiano Verde Lda ("Quotidiano Verde", "we" or "us"). It is not with any agent of ours who may have acted on our behalf.

At Quotidiano Verde, we offer a range of bicycles for rental. We look after all of our bicycles and check them before the start of any rental.

Riding a bicycle is an enjoyable activity. It is good for your health and it is a great way to explore an area. Riding bicycles also has environmental benefits over other forms of transport.

However, riding a bicycle can also be dangerous. It can result in serious physical injury or even death. Therefore, you are urged always to ride carefully, cautiously and safely.

When renting any of our bicycles you agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damages which you might suffer and any damage or injuries you may cause. Please take responsibility for yourself and others. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to release us and our staff and agents from any claims in respect of damage or injury suffered by you and hold us harmless against any liabilities arising from any damage or injury caused by you.

If in any doubt about your own physical condition, please seek the advice of your doctor or other qualified health professional before riding.  You must gauge your own exertion and stay within your own, personal physical limitations. It is better to build up slowly than to force and strain.

Our bicycles are also valuable so please look after them. We rent them to you in perfect condition and you must return them to us in the same condition. You are responsible for the loss or theft of, and any damage caused to, any bicycles you rent from us and/or any equipment rented with it.

It is your responsibility to:

(i) always check the condition of your bicycle(s) before setting off on any ride - and, in particular, check your tyres for any cuts and check that your brakes are working properly;

(ii) always wear a helmet;

(iii) always ride with lights in low lighting (don't wait until it is dark);

(iv) always stay within your physical limits and, if you are tired, rest before continuing;

(v) always comply with all traffic rules and ride safely, whether on road or off;

(vi) always carry enough water and make sure you stay hydrated. Hydration helps you enjoy your riding more but it also helps keep you more alert and be a safer rider. This is especially important in the summer;

(vii) placing your bicycle safely to avoid causing damage to the bicycle or anyone else and locking it when you are not riding it.

You are entirely responsible for failing to discharge these responsibilities.

You must present a valid personal identification (Citizen Card, driver's license, ID, passport) and we will take a scan of that. We will also keep your credit card details and you authorise us to charge your credit card for the cost of any repair or replacement if you do not return the bicycle(s) undamaged.  We will destroy these details when we are sure that you have returned the bicycle(s) undamaged or that we have recovered from you the costs of repair or replacement. In the meantime, we will treat your personal data in compliance with data protection laws.
